Below is an example to promote book reading, rather than simply book giving.
Pastor Edward's sermon this past Sunday (MP3 and related material accessible at http://newhopefellowship.org/worship.php) quoted at length from the book "The Mystery of Marriage" by Mike Mason. He highly recommends it for any couples who have the time to read it.

The NHF Resource Ministry will be getting some copies of this book. To promote the reading of such fine material, and to prevent the abuse of free materials, we present a new form of book reading challenge: If you can read a third of the book that we are promoting within one month, you will get the book for free. (Why 1/3? You may ask. We believe that if a book is truly worthwhile, and if you read a third of it, you will definitely want to finish it soon.)
We implement the book challenge as follows: We will charge the low cost of $10/copy, and subsidize the shipping. If you finish a third of the book within a month of getting the book from the Resource Ministry, you will either get your refund, or have the credit use for our next promotion of book/CD/DVD or whatever.
