Future of Work and human activities

Whether this is the role of the church, or Christian social entrepreneurs, we need to find a way for people to exist economically while living out a life of faith.
Faith demands that we live and work with righteous methods and intend.
The world showcases glamour in trickery and competition, essentially through stealing, cheating, deception, etc.

Take hedge funds: basically everything is front-running.

• Try to forecast the future needs, buy at low price, corner the market, and sell at high price when everyone is desperate.
• Same even with Joseph with the Egyptian famine.
• It is merely the timescale of forecasting.
• Joseph: God told him to interpret the dreams for 14-year scale.
• Economists and political think-tank: mega-trends
• Investors, Banks: medium scale trend spotting, and invest accordingly
• Day trader: spot daily trends or forecasts, and front running the trends set by big players
• Day traders benefit from the execution inefficiencies of institutional investors. Yet these will be more and more difficult, as transaction costs will go up, or Dark Pool funds arise, basically to allow big guys only, and keep the public from benefiting

So, is front-running immoral?
Basically, rather than having your own valuation and opinion about what will be demanded, you look at how people behave, what they buy, and what their preferences are, then rely on people's behavior to tell you what the trend is. Here is a case of perhaps immoral in intent, but similar result with the purist approach.

Strategies in trading:

• Front running as specifically the case of anticipating institutional investors
• Allocation for diversity
• Long term basic bets

How about Human Capital:

• growing and investing in people and their potential
• teaching and mentoring them:
• school shows the basic default knowledge
• mentoring shows via projects the specialized areas of knowledge
• need to show them the unanticipated areas, the hacks, the opportunities of unfilled niche

Technical schools: front running in talent, try to anticipate what will be needed in the near future.

How about specialist training,

• to enhance a person's ability against his competitor,
• much like Olympic athlete training
• learn or expect your opponent's moves, competitive analysis, front-run by beating them at their strength and develop the ability first
• what makes you special, develop your uniqueness

On an individual or small firm level, it is unrealistic to expect innovation or unique branding.

• How can we possibly develop enough specialties for everyone?
• How can the world possibly work and live?
• Exactly by relying on each individual's context. Everyone has his unique geographical, social, educational and cultural background that makes them unique. Their personality and interests will further guide them to their unique potential.
• The primary direction is for them to identify their passion, and area of focus.
• Enable them to start their own enterprise, as freelancers, consultant.
• Steady job is merely startup work level at the non-startup pay.

• (so people don't take the law into their own hands)
• discipline and cost to free-loaders (award to contributors)
• maybe in the form of social recognition, trust, and opportunity for contributors
• while uniformity leads to freeloading, diversity leads to cooperation
• i.e. there are sufficient number of role models who will collaborate and contribute independently of what others do. Their actions will inspire more people to be altruistic. Enough people will be willing to stand up to the free loaders and punish them.

Human Capital Market:

In addition to trading on companies, commodities, and currencies, there will be direct trading of personal networth.  Each person represent a tradable instrument, with networth that produces salary and/or generate capital.

People will bid for a percentage of ownership on that person's otuput.

Just as a firm can raise capital by selling equity in difficult times, so would a person sell the ownership of the materialistic output.

Just as the owners of a company will have interest to improve the worth of a firm, so people who are capable of enhancing a person's worth will do their best to bring out the potential of that individual.

Consequently, the person will maximize his opportunity, potential, and achievements.

The ability to do these personal potential evaluation will be enabled by computing power, and detail twitter feeds, etc, that allows one's social network to supply the personal information needed, or to have communal investment in particular individuals.

Anytime that the market can have a direction in a firm will lead to it being accountable, similarly the personal potential market will bringout the best for the individual, as well as benefiting those who help the idiidual to succeed.
